Successful businessman and inventor Robert Kasirer is also a generous philanthropist who takes an active role in supporting institutions that promote the education and development of today’s youth. In addition to contributing to the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, and the Harvard-Westlake School, Robert Kasirer supports the efforts of Camp Ramah in California.
Offering a variety of summer and year-round programs, Camp Ramah in California provides Jewish youth the opportunity to build leadership skills and gain new friends while expanding their Jewish consciousness. Each year campers from across the country and around the world take part in two- or four-week residential camps or enjoy a number of family-oriented activities available throughout the year. In addition to operating summer camps and events, Camp Ramah offers a nine-week leadership training program for incoming 12th graders, a six-week seminar based in Jerusalem, and a vocational training program for Jewish youth 18 to 22 years of age who have learning, emotional, or developmental disabilities. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Camp Ramah meets the needs of a diverse population of Jewish youth, providing them with the skills to help brighten their future and understand their heritage.
